Rich Vigil has worked in the mining industry since 2005, first as a mine engineer for Freeport McMoRan (previously Phelps Dodge) at the underground Henderson mine. After completing his MBA, he worked in equity research, covering the precious metals sector for Cowen Group (previously Dahlman Rose) and later for RMB Resources, the merchant banking division of First Rand in South Africa, where he provided debt, equity and pre-paid streams to the junior mining industry. He later worked in the Corporate Lending Credit Group at Morgan Stanley covering Metals and Mining and the Oil and Gas industry. He has experience throughout the Americas, including Canada, the USA, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Chile. He graduated cum laude from the Colorado School of Mines, where he studied mining engineering, and completed his MBA from Tulane University, specializing in international business and finance.
